Kathleen Searle is a Canadian goldsmith, bench jeweller, designer and artist. She graduated from the Ontario College of Art and Design University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Design in jewellery and metalsmithing, and devotes her creative energy to capturing the organic essence of nature in tangible works. Kathleen predominantly uses metals of sterling silver and bronze and her techniques of choice are saw piercing, forging textures, raising, fusing and patina treatments. Her work constitutes both single one-of-a-kind pieces and collections that match together with simplicity and elegance.

 

Kathleen also pushes the boundaries in contemporary jewellery by honouring delicate nature in juxtaposition with the strength of metal. She has always been drawn to the audaciousness by which these two qualities compliment and hold space for each other.
